FEEL LIKE A MODEL FOR A DAY! LOOK 1
You may remember I recently posted about an exciting fashion shoot I was going to do on a sexy little Vespa? Well, the pics are in and the results are fabulous, all thanks to my amazing photographer, the Swedish-born Maria from masusuphoto.com.
Maria and fashion designer Katya Kovtunovich are truly are exceptional examples of everything that WMS stands for – fun, fearless women going after their dreams! Meeting these two inspiring, creative women was a nice reminder that yes, I am exactly where I am meant to be in life.
SAY CHEESE! There is something special about getting your photo taken and even more so by a professional with a theme. Maria was just marvellous, she made me feel like a star – there were no uncomfortable moments, just a group of newly-made friends having fun in the sun.
GUILTY PLEASURES What girl doesn’t enjoy a bit of dress up? With the gorgeously sleek Vespa as my ride of choice, I was geared up in the fabulous Katya Kovtunovich collection. Getting ready for the shoot was as easy as slipping on Katya’s immaculate designs and sitting pretty! 
READY TO RIDE Zipping around town on a nifty Vespa, safety needs to come first. It’s good to know that style is still the top priority with a chic little helmet which perfectly accessorizes any ensemble.
ACCESSORIES GALORE I love using accessories to brighten up my outfits, and this was no exception. Here I am wearing my favorite diamond earrings, ring and watch, while a creative rope thread serves as a quirky belt around my waist.
TWO’S COMPANY This little Mister acted as my travelling companion for the day and we became fast friends. We bonded over our love of fashion and Vespas, of course. I wonder if they make helmets in his size? 
NOT A HAPPY CAMPER But judging by the look on his face, he wasn’t too happy being the passenger!
SMILES ALL AROUND But there’s nothing a little tickle won’t solve. My furry driving buddy soon got into the spirit of the photoshoot and even gave us a cheeky smile!
SOLO MISSION I just adored my outfit of choice for the day, all courtesy of the sublime Katya. With an Italian-inspired nautical theme, my ensemble took me back to sunny days along the Mediterranean with nothing but the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin.
SOPHISTICATED STYLING I fell in love with the elegant beauty of this little Vespa. The iconic scooter may have been invented in 1945, but its cool modern styling fits right in with modern fashion trends.
TREADING EASY Even the tyres are stylish! Vespa spares no luxury when it comes to glamorous features. And the quality shows in the finer details, like the sleek white wheelcaps and striking silver centre. It’s all about style, and this Vespa has that in spades!
AHOY MATEY Walking along the marina, I felt like a bona fide sailor, complete with a captain’s hat to polish off the look. The only thing missing? A group of uniformed seamen to wave me goodbye… he he
ALL ABOARD! On closer inspection, this ensemble is not only easy and comfortable to wear, it’s tailored to suit just about any occasion. The striped red-and-white blazer comes off to reveal a light, easy everyday look. For a bit of fun, I love the cute captain’s hat for a bit of fancy dress!
STEP TO IT These beautiful sandals rounded off the navy-inspired ensemble. And what a gorgeous touch with delicately frilly ruffles down the centre of the sandal. I can just imagine these making a pretty addition to a flirty summer sundress or skinny black jeans. 
WISTFULLY WATCHING Enjoying the view over the tranquil Dubai Marina, one cannot help but be swept away by the majestic beauty of the scenery. Add to the mix a sexy little scooter and top-to-toe designer fashions, and this girl is in heaven!
ALL IN THE DETAILS This blazer was one of the highlights of this outfit for me. Notice the subtle rope detailing on the collar of the jacket held together by little gold buttons. This detail is picked up again on the cuffs of the sleeves. Just beautiful! 
SIMPLE DOES IT Just like the clean, uncluttered styling of the classic Vespa, we kept the make-up look simple and natural. With soft, blush-colored lips, smoky eyes and untouched complexion, the overall effect is effortless and elegant, just like the iconic scooter.
IT’S A WRAP! After a day of shooting, the only thing left to do is park your Vespa, hang up your helmet and look back at all the amazing memories made.
One amazing aspect about living in Dubai is the opportunity to meet a diverse spectrum of women from across the world with their own unique stories to tell – some are similar to mine while others teach me new and interesting lessons all the time.
As I listen to each story of why each woman came to Dubai, I am struck by one common thread that binds us all together – a shared courage and a belief in ourselves that we can do anything we set our minds to, and Maria and Katya are perfect examples of this!
